Wei\u00df jetzt auch nicht, was schlimmer ist.<\/p>\n<p>Aber ich will das Kapitel nicht schlie\u00dfen ohne den Hinweis darauf, dass es mir nun nach etlichen Jahren wieder einmal verg\u00f6nnt war, ein Buchantiquariat zu besuchen. Regensburg ist da nicht so gut best\u00fcckt wie fr\u00fcher einmal Wien oder Berlin (oder selbst Gie\u00dfen). Diese besuchte Antiquariat hatte tats\u00e4chlich alte Werke und verlorene Werke und billige Werke. Unter anderm Sinclair Lewis &#8220;Der Babbitt&#8221; f\u00fcr 1 Euro. Ist halt Literatur, dick und klein geschrieben und dazu auch noch auf jenem extrem staubigen Papier welches stark nachdunkeln, wohl holzhaltig.<\/p>\n<p><!--break-->Wo wir bei Holz sind, Hans Heinz Holz, guter Mann, von dem ich lange ein Buch suche wie auch, was aber unm\u00f6glich sein d\u00fcrfte, fr\u00fche Sachen von Hans G Helms. Holz, wie erw\u00e4hnt, hat aber vor Zeiten ein Buch rezensiert, welches sich nun in meinem Besitz befindet: <em>Christopher Caudwell, Studien zu einer sterbenden Kultur<\/em>.  Caudwell kannte ich bislang nur \u00fcber ein Gitarrenst\u00fcck von Helmut Lachenmann, n\u00e4mlich dieses <em>Salut f\u00fcr Caudwell<\/em>. Das irre ist nun, dass ich zun\u00e4chst dachte, der Caudwell w\u00e4re der gewesen, der Arnold Sch\u00f6nbergs <em>Ode to Napoleon<\/em> mitverfasst habe, was aber, wenn ichs richtig erinnere der Lord Byron war. Und damit komme ich zum R\u00fcckschlag.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Und nach alledem ist selbst der B\u00fcrger nicht frei. Da\u00df er weiterhin uneingeschr\u00e4nkt seiner Illusion von Freiheit anh\u00e4ngt, verlangt uneingeschr\u00e4nkten Wettbewerb, und weil dieser Wettbewerb unbeschr\u00e4nkt ist, arbeitet er so chaotisch und blind wie das Wetter. Dieser Wettbewerb macht die B\u00fcrger unfrei, liefert ihn einem nicht verstandenen Schicksal aus, ganz so, als sei er ein auf den Wellen schaukelnder Korken.<br \/>\n(Christopher Caudwell, <em>Studien zu einer sterbenden Kultur, <\/em>M\u00fcnchen 1974, S. 171. [Das ist \u00fcbrigens die ganz alte und gute Reihe Hanser gewesen.])<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Das bringt den Korken zur\u00fcck ins Blog, m\u00f6chte man sagen. Der Buchmarkt scheint wie umgekippt. Was fr\u00fcher marxistische Diskussion hie\u00df und Regale f\u00fcllte, sind nun 1000 ganz legale Steuertricks und Anleitungen zu &#8220;Wie f\u00fchre ich mein Gesch\u00e4ft und mich?&#8221;; aus den Sexual-Untersuchungen (historisch und praktisch und literarisch) von damals sind die sexuellen und h\u00e4uslichen Fitnessprogramme geworden. Der Weg zum Nichts f\u00fcr keineswegs \u00fcber Allen Watts. Popkomm ersetzt Pop. Diskurs erbricht sich in Kreditgeschw\u00e4tz. Micropayment verdr\u00e4ngt Pflicht.
