height: 150px; float: right; \">Die neue von Mardi Gras.bb ist ein schwieriges Kind. Waren fr\u00fchere Platten dieser Band richtig pr\u00e4chtig angereichert, mit Spritz und Sprutz, ist dieses Werk schon sehr knapp geschn\u00fcrt. Die 14 Musiker der Kapelle schwingen sich nicht auf zum Supersound, zur Klangbr\u00fche. Alles wird eingedampft und geradezu kammermusikalisch. Das muss ja nichts Schlechtes hei\u00dfen. Man kann nicht immer unter dem Volldampf stehen, den das Cover suggeriert.<\/div>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<div class=\"leftbox\">Die Zur\u00fccknahme kann selbstverst\u00e4ndlich dann funktionieren, wenn die Feinheiten und Genauigkeiten umso st\u00e4rker heraustreten. Sicher, auf dieser Platte gibt es einige Details gro\u00dfer Sch\u00f6nheit, pr\u00e4ziser Mischkl\u00e4nge und genre\u00fcbergreifender Raumbewegungen (mein Favorit: Track 9, Devil&#8217;s Apprentice).<\/div>\n<div class=\"leftbox\">H\u00e4ufig wirkt die Musik aber wie eingefroren. Mit einem Bild: Die Fliege ist nicht eingekapselt wie in einem Bernstein sondern ist in Kunstharz pr\u00e4pariert. Auf der Heimatseite von Hazelwood kann man sich <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hazelwood.de\/mardigrasbb\/record_moonglow.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">zwei der St\u00fccke der CD\/LP anh\u00f6ren<\/a>. \u201cWrong Bottle\u201d formuliert das Problem gewisserma\u00dfen schon im Namen.<\/div>\n<div class=\"leftbox\">Auch anders herum funktioniert es nicht: Das Kantige und Ungerade ist hier zu veredelt und erh\u00e4lt dadurch den Charakter des dicht ans Manierierte grenzende.
