Der Prophet der Toleranz passt nicht ins Schema enger Glaubensbekenntnisse, ist den Geschmackspolizisten unserer Tage suspekt. So eine unglaubliche Verdrehung der Situation. Eine Beleidigung Lessings wie derjenigen, auf die diess Zitat zielt. <b>Rundfunkfreiheit<\/b>, das erw\u00e4hnt der richtige, nur meint sie etwas anderes. Der \u00f6ffentlich-rechtliche Rundfunk soll machen, was er will, wenn er denn gleichzeitig seinen Auftrag erf\u00fcllt. Bisher konnte ich noch nirgendwo lesen, dass der Auftrag des Rundfunks darin best\u00fcnde, den privaten Rundfunkanbietern Konkurrenz zu machen. Davon abgesehen: \u201cAjatollah\u201d zu einem Schimpfwort zu beugen, das ist weder klug noch fein, sondern ziemlich \u00e4rgerlich \u2014 und hat mit Lessings Begriff der Toleranz schon gar nichts zu tun. Oder meinen Sie, zum Ajatollah wird man durch Abwesenheit von Toleranz? Nein, nein, nein &#8211; schlimm ist diese Art von Beleidigung. Mannomann.<\/p>\n<p>Lessing hatte mit Sicherheit jedenfalls nicht im Blick was Sie offenbar unter Kultur verstehen: Das Gehen nach Quote und maschineller Programmauswahl. Nein, Herr Romann, zur Kultur ben\u00f6tigt man Subjekte, mit all ihrem Eigensinn, mit ihrem Wissen und Gesp\u00fcr, ihrer Sensibilit\u00e4t, mit Kritikf\u00e4higkeit.<\/p>\n<p>Und was verstehen Sie denn unter pers\u00f6nlichen Verunglimpfungen, Herr Romann? Wer hat Sie denn pers\u00f6nlich angegriffen? Es geht doch weder um Ihr Haus, Ihre Nase oder was anderes. Als Person sind Sie doch nicht von Interesse bei der Entwicklung ihres Programms beim NDR. Sie sind der Programmdirektor \u2014 die oberste Elite, wenn man so wollte. Wenn es Ihnen nicht passt, dass es Menschen gibt, die noch ein irgendwas vom Rundfunk erwarten, die gegen den Rundfunk einen Anspruch hegen, dann w\u00e4re das in der Tat sehr traurig.
