Eigentlich eher gar nicht, zu schnell geht es daran vorbei. Es wirkt von au\u00dfen wie ein Meisterwerk aus Grau in Grau \u2013 zumal an einem solchen grauen Tag. Dazwischen seriell funktionale Fensterrahmen in dunkel, die den Ernst der Lage nur hervorheben statt ihn zu brechen. Quality bestimmt noch nicht den Grad der Qualit\u00e4t. Erinnert in anderer Weise an das schnieke Hotel in Darmstadt nahe Bahnhof, wo alle zwei Jahre junge Komponisten und Komponistinnen sowie Musiker und Musikerinnen nobel einkehren. Das hei\u00dft sich Maritim, l\u00e4sst aber kaum eine Ahnung an so etwas wie Meer aufkommen. H\u00f6chstens Caspar David Friedrichs Betonmeer B\u00f6llenfalltor.<\/p>\n<p>Weiter vorbei an der Haltestelle Freiheitshalle: Scheint \u00fcberall auf der Welt ein Bed\u00fcrfnis zu sein, Dingen, die tot sind oder die nicht verwirklicht wurden, ein Monument zu setzen; oder ein Denkmal. Es folgt ein abgerissenes Bahnstellwerk, das so zerr\u00fcttet ist, als ob man es so haben wollte. N\u00e4mlich als Denkmal, als Ruinen-Denkmal, wo die Berliner den Anhalter-Bahnhof haben. Das kommt gut antik r\u00fcber und wird als mahnend gew\u00fcrdigt.<\/p>\n<p>Neben der Bushaltestelle am Bahnhof ein gesch\u00e4tzt siebenst\u00f6ckiges Geb\u00e4ude, leerstehend, daran ein Plakat prangt, wo etwas von Visionen die Rede ist, wo einem ja gleich Kraus und der Arzt einf\u00e4llt, wahrscheinlich sehr zu unrecht. Am Bahnhof muss ein M\u00e4dchen von ca. 9 Jahren einen Miniaturhund in Kreisen spazieren f\u00fchren. An der Leine. Merkw\u00fcrdig zu sehen, wie die Schnupperwelt des Hundes so eine komplett andere sein muss als die des Menschen, der aber auch nicht schnuppern muss \u2013 ein anderes Universum. Hinkacken wird barsch untersagt. Bleibt der Hund eben einfach so sitzen. Aber immerhin: Kommunikation untereinander. Beim Gesch\u00e4ft ber\u00fchren sich die Welten.<\/p>\n<p>Die Sache begann mit der Abfahrt, wo ein Wegweiser zum Ein\u00f6d \u201eErzengel\u201c, einem Ferienhaus wie ich nun wei\u00df, hinwies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bahnhof Selb. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Zuvor Nordabfahrt. Linkerhand taucht ein Lokal auf, das griechische Spezialit\u00e4ten verspricht und so riesig wirkt, dass man zu allererst denken mag, es handle sich eher um eine Turnhalle. Und? Es ist ein Schwimmbad.<\/p>\n<p>Sympathisch, das der Platz vor dem Bahnhof nicht Bahnhofplatz hei\u00dft, sondern Goetheplatz. Auf dem Weg zur Autobahn zur\u00fcck, das \u00fcbliche Spiel: D\u00e4nisches Bettenlager, McDonalds, Tabletop &#8230; Man versteht also, wof\u00fcr die ganzen Befreiungskriege doch n\u00f6tig sind. Wahrscheinlich hat sich nun die Hofer Freiheitshalle unterdessen zur Shopping-Mall gewandelt. Und irgendwie w\u00fcrde das ja stimmen. [Per Smartphone checken, ob der spanische Wein von UPS schon angeliefert worden ist.]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hof noch einmal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Den billigen Gag beiseite: Im Nachhinein musste ich gr\u00fcbeln, ob ich das Schild am Bus richtig gelesen hatte: Stand da nicht eventuell \u201eFreizeithalle\u201c in Wirklichkeit? Stand da nicht. In Hof gibt es auch wirklich eine Freiheitshalle in der jedoch tats\u00e4chlich f\u00fcr einen ordentlichen Verbrauch von Freizeit gesorgt wird. Schlager, Meetings, Hofer Symphoniker \u2026 \u201eF\u00fcr Event-Momente der Extraklasse\u201c, ein Motto, das ich in meinem Kopf hin und her wende, doch zu keinem widerhakenden Ergebnis kommt.<\/p>\n<p>Dabei ist das Programm der Halle gar nicht mal schlecht. Bunt und f\u00fcr jeden etwas dabei.
